Currently, Sheil serves as the Head of Litigation Team 1 at the Manila Electric Company (MERALCO), a position she has held since May 2021. She previously served as the Officer-in-Charge of the team and as Legal Counsel for nearly a decade. In her current role, she oversees the litigation process, supervises a team of lawyers and paralegals, and represents the company in cases before regulatory bodies such as the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), and various courts. She is also an active member of MERALCO’s Committee on Decorum and Investigation, which handles compliance with the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act and Safe Spaces Act. As a Legal Business Partner for Networks, she collaborates on policy development and process improvement across several company departments.

In addition to her role at MERALCO, Sheil is a sought-after lecturer for PRC-CPD accredited programs for engineers and has been featured as a speaker at various company seminars. She has also been a prominent figure in MERALCO’s advertising campaigns.

Before joining MERALCO, Sheil gained diverse legal experience at Viva Communications, Inc., Ongkiko Manhit Custodio & Acorda Law Office, and Raymond Fortun Law Offices, where she handled a range of legal matters including corporate governance, criminal law, and civil litigation.

Sheil holds a Juris Doctor degree from Ateneo School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, majoring in Entrepreneurship, from San Beda College Alabang. In addition, she has completed the Management Development Program at the Asian Institute of Management (August 2021 – February 2022), where she was recognized with the Superior Performance Award.

Sheil is also a certified Advanced Open Water Diver through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, Inc. (PADI).
